I really like people and their stories and love to meet interesting and different people, new places and to witness and chronicle events. In addition it excites me to capture a whole story and bring it in a nutshell with just one click.
Photography has been my passion since I bought my first SLR-Camera at the age of 17. Five years later in ë99 I quit my job in the police force and began to work as a photojournalist, educating myself in the secrets of photography. After ten years it is still exciting for me to be a photographer.
I’ve been working for newspapers, magazines and news agencies for many years and started to work for companys and private clients one year ago too. In the recent time I learned a wide range of photography from news, editorial and concerts to portraits and corporate shootings and now can take advantage of it by mixing different techniques to get fresh and new looks in my photographs.
Itís important for me to be professional and constituted when doing a job. Rush in combination with a lack of plan will break up every warm ambience and make the people in front of the lens feel uncomfortable. And: The photographer has to understand the model, not vice versa. Itís no use to have lots of technical gear if the human relationship falls by the waysideÖ
When Iím not holding my camera, you can find me playing Volleyball or making music.
